Formed in February 2022, Silen Construction Ltd is a building contractor specialising in small and medium size residential and commercial projects. We offer a full construction service from start to finish – from the first spade in the ground to the last lick of paint. We have a number of different teams working on a broad range of projects across London and the surrounding area at any one time.
Meet the Team
Mark has been working in architecture, design and construction in London for the past 12 years – initially with his design and build company Risner Design and later Silen Construction. As Design Manager, Mark’s role is predominantly office based, managing the office staff and dealing directly with the clients and design team (architects, engineers, specialist consultants). It is his responsibility to ensure all of the design information and client wishes are properly understood and relayed back to our construction team. Along with his responsibilities at Silen Construction, Mark is also director at our sister company Risner Design, initially a design and build which with the advent of Silen Construction now operates solely as an architectural design practice.

With over 18 years of experience in residential and commercial construction projects Sabi is our construction manager. Sabi’s role is to project manage our sites – liaising between our project foremen and subcontractors to ensure that all of our sites are running smoothly and efficiently. In addition to Silen Construction, Sabi is also director at our sister company Underpinning Basement Ltd. Due to the very particularly skill set and insurances required, this allows us to take on a broader range of projects, including basement excavations and structural underpinning – which most construction companies cannot provide.
